The Association of Inhalation Toxicologists (AIT) are presenting a workshop covering the scientific and regulatory safety requirements for developing new inhaled drug molecules, excipients and inhaled products. The symposium will comprise a series of short talks summarising how we currently perform in vitro and pre-clinical efficacy and safety studies. Jo Kilgour will finish by describing the activities of AIT including past contributions to developing best practice guidelines, as well as current workstreams examining practices, opportunities and challenges in inhalation toxicology. The workshop will conclude with a facilitated panel debate to which delegates are welcome to contribute.
